Anglican Church calls for credible election

Nicholas-Okoh The Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion has commended the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) for the pre-election arrangements to ensure a credible election in February. INEC was commended in a communique issued at the end of the 2015 annual Bishops’ retreat held at Ibru Ecumenical Centre, Agbarha-Otor from the 5th of January to the 10th of January, 2015 presided over by Primate of the Church, Rev. Nicholas D. Okoh, The Church also advised political office seekers to ensure that the unity of the nation is not put in jeopardy by any reckless action...

C&S Church leader Fakeye is dead

Apostle Fakeye Founder of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ayo ni o, Gabriel Olubunmi Fakeye, popularly called G.O. Fakeye has died. His passing away was announced by the church at their Sunday service, although the cause of his death wasn’t disclosed. The prophet was reported to have died in a U.S. hospital, however other sources claimed he died in Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH). The demise was an engineer, who began preaching at the tender age of his life, and he’s survived by wife, son, daughters and grandchildren.

More Christians killed in Nigeria worldwide in 2013

By Biyi Oluniyi Nigeria has topped the list of countries where Christians were persecuted most worldwide in 2013. More Christians were said to have been killed in Northern Nigeria last year than in the rest of the world combined according to Jubilee Campaign, a human rights organization.
